In Sing-Along at Bubbe's, Jim Henson-like puppets tell the stories of the Jewish holidays of Hanukkah and Passover. The music by Phil Baron (Teddy Ruxpin) is lively, and viewers will enjoy singing along with the characters. The text of some of the songs appears on the screen. The video not only contains the traditional holiday songs like "The Four Questions" and "Lighting the Menorah," but it also includes original music such as "Be Yourself" and "Times in Your Life." Although the video tells the stories of the holidays, it also can be used to build self-esteem. This dual function is distracting. Sing-Along at Bubbe's includes scenes and songs from two earlier Parents' Choice Award videos--Chanuka at Bubbe's and Passover at Bubbe's. Religious schools may wish to purchase this.
