FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

Comedy by the same team that did "Waiting For Guffman" and "A Mighty Wind" set their bullseye on Hollywood. In this film, a small independent film company is making a film about a Jewish family in the deep south. It is funny and often hilarious, but it is never boring.

THE JAZZ SINGER

One of the landmark films of the 20th century finally arrived on DVD in an 80th anniversary edition that includes hours of extra features spread over 3 discs. This film about the son of a cantor leaving his tradition behind to become a stage star has been remastered and revitalized for this release and if you've never seen it, this is a great opportunity.

A MIGHTY HEART

Angelina Jolie is absolutely brilliant in her role as the wife of Jewish-American Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped while researching an article on Muslim terrorism. Pearl's wife, despite being pregnant with their first child, calls on all of her contacts in order to find and retrieve her husband, although all her efforts prove to be of no avail.

SCHMELVIS

So, did Elvis Presley really have Jewish roots? This documentary tries to dig out the truth and does so in a fascinating way.

STEEL TOES

Canadian film about a Jewish lawyer in Montreal and the skin head client he has been hired to defend in a murder trial. Despite the deep animosity between the two main characters, will they be able to work together to put together a plausible defence?

SWEET MUD
